Terry Marshall Campie - Entrepreneur and College Professor

 

1.       

·         His professional career initially began in 1986 as an Electrical Engineering Technician for Iowan Illinois Gas and Electric where he created, maintained,  and modified large electrical distribution computer models on mainframe computers.

·           From there, his system electrical experience was transferred to Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility (MMEU) as their first Chief Executive Officer.  He served on the Iowa Municipal Utility Board and volunteered in the community.

·         MMEU was the 10th largest Municipal Electric Utility on Iowa and provided service to the City of Maquoketa but also generated its own electricity with diesel generators.  He was responsible for the energy savings programs for the community. And calculated monthly the savings the community realized through co-generation.

 

2.       Terry Marshall Campie was an entrepreneur and college professor. He owned several businesses in Iowa including a set of 5 cemeteries providing both cemetery merchandise and services and many funeral products. In the cemetery business, he was responsible for sales and administration of 5 cemeteries with locations in Iowa City,  Spencer, Burlington,  Ft. Madison,  and Keokuk. Of particular note was his success in helping families pre-planning.  His company sold burial sites, memorials, flowers and Christmas wreaths, burial vaults, and caskets saving families thousands of dollars waiting until the death actually occurred. He also provided dozens of jobs to individuals when at the time the economy ranked with high unemployment. His companies also provided burials for the less fortunate and offered options that preserved family’s resources at the time of death when they needed them most.

 

3.       Terry M. Campieis a  Christian. He serves at 180 Ministries as a mentor. He also attends 4 Bible studies each week, represented by 2 churches. He has developed interest in Biblical counseling and is working closely with Pure Heart Living Biblical Counseling Training Center of Marion, Illinois. Since 1996, Mr. Campiehas taught men’s Bible studies at least weekly and sometimes as often as 4 times per week.  His primary interests lie in the practical application of the Scriptures in everyday life, fir men’s special walk with Jesus.  One particular class he taught entitled, “Five intelligible Words of God,” emphasized the infinite depth of God’s Word in so few words.
